Brad Vermurlen

Dr. Brad Vermurlen is a research associate in the sociology department at the University of Texas at Austin, also with ties to The Austin Institute. In that role, he works with Dr. Mark Regnerus on projects related to marriage, family, sexuality, and gender. He is also a Generations in Dialogue Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies at USC, exploring the intersections of sociology with the Christian intellectual and moral tradition. He holds degrees in sociology from the University of Michigan (B.A.) and the University of Notre Dame (M.A., Ph.D.). His dissertation has been published by Oxford University Press as Reformed Resurgence: The New Calvinist Movement and the Battle Over American Evangelicalism.
